Students and chaperones from the Mayfield Independent School System recently traveled to New York City for a fun and educational adventure. This 5 day trip was part of the Mayfield Enrichment Program that allowed students to explore, learn, and gain experiences outside of the classroom. Students participated in many activities that New York City has to offer. Some highlights included visiting the 9/11 Memorial, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, New York Financial District, Rise NY, walking the Brooklyn Bridge, Edge NYC Observatory, Today Show, skating in Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall Tour, Madison Square Garden Tour, and a choice of a Broadway Play. The Mayfield Enrichment Program is in the beginning stages of planning a trip in March of 2025.
