Dublin will be overseeing instruction, curriculum, and assessments of all students after spending the past eight years as the principal at MES. She says elementary students will always hold a special place in her heart, “They love unconditionally and always make you feel like a rockstar!”
While she says she “will miss the daily hugs and smiles from the students at MES,” Dublin added that she is “excited to be able to extend my reach to middle and high school students, as well as elementary students.”
A 1998 graduate of Mayfield High School, Dublin has spent most of her 23-year education career in the Mayfield school district. After teaching for two years at Fulton County Elementary, she began her tenure at Mayfield Independent. She has been a classroom teacher as well as an instructional coach. She was named Assistant Principal of Mayfield Elementary in 2011 and then Principal in 2017.
Dublin holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, a Master of Arts in Education - School Administration, and completed her Rank I in School Administration from Murray State University. She also holds certifications and endorsements as Supervisor of Instruction, Director of Pupil Personnel, and Instructional Leadership School Superintendent.
In 2023 and again this year, Dublin has been nominated for the West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) Regional Educators Awards and Scholarship Program in the Distinguished Administrator category.
Dublin will start her new role July 1. She says, “Moving forward, my goal is to support teachers, foster collaboration, and ensure every student has access to engaging, high quality learning experiences.”
She will be filling the post currently held by Kim Reed, Director of District Wide Programs. Reed will be retiring at the end of June after 27 years with Mayfield Independent Schools.
The search for Dublin’s successor is currently underway.
